Caracle Creek Team: Geology and Mineral Resources

SPECIALISTS

Cecil Johnson: Professional Prospector/Geo-Technician

Cecil has been prospecting in the mineral exploration industry since 1995 and has experience across Canada and world-wide, including the USA, China, Greenland, and Europe. In addition to professional prospecting, Cecil has over a decade of experience in Geo-Tech work (drill core), as a Field Technician in geophysical, geological, and soil (standard and MMI) surveys, and specialty DGPS surveys. Cecil is also experienced in claim staking, line cutting, and remote camp logistics, set-up, and management.

Ken Collerson (PhD, P.Geo.): Special Projects/Senior Geoscientist
[precious metals, REE (carbonatites), lithium (pegmatites), cobalt, magmatic sulphides]

Ken Collerson, a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (FAusIMM), has degrees from the University of New England (BSc. Hons.) and Adelaide University (Ph.D.). Dr. Collerson established an international career in academia at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Research School of Earth Sciences at ANU, University of Regina, and the University of California Santa Cruz.  From 1992 until 2010, as Professor of Earth Sciences at the University of Queensland, he established a world class isotope and trace element geochemical facility. Ken is a specialist in geochemistry, petrology, crustal evolution, mineral deposit systems and biogeochemical exploration.  He is an internationally recognized and highly cited geoscientist with 270 refereed papers, book chapters, government and research agency reports and conference abstracts. Ken now works with industry and government, applying his academic knowledge and practical experience to a varied range of exploration projects. Dr. Collerson is an authority on REE and technology metal mineralisation (e.g., Nb) in carbonatites and related rocks, has years’, of experience working on LCT pegmatites (e.g., Finland), and A-type granitic systems (i.e., Ta-Nb lithogeochemistry/mineral systems). Recently, he developed a geodynamically-based exploration model for shoshonite-hosted epithermal Au-Ag (PGM) systems, and has successfully applied biogeochemistry to define targets (Australia) where exploration has been limited by lack of outcrop and the presence of transported sediment. As a consultant for the Queensland Government, using spinifex grass as a biogeochemical exploration medium, Ken discovered a previously unknown 2,000 km long by 250 km wide  alkaline metallogenic province in Australia, prospective for heavy rare earths, cobalt, scandium, PGEs, copper, gold and diamonds. Dr. Collerson is fluent in English and has a working knowledge of French and Portuguese.

Stephen Wetherup (HB.Sc., P.Geo.): Structural Specialist/Project Geologist
[precious metals, base metals, copper (porphyry/stratiform), magmatic sulphides]

Stephen Wetherup graduated from the University of Manitoba (1995) and is a member of the  Engineers and Geoscientists BC. He has over 20 years of global experience in mineral exploration including work with Phelps Dodge Corporation of Canada and more than 13 years with Caracle Creek International Consulting as VP, Principal Geologist and a Director. Mr. Wetherup has a wide variety of geological consulting capabilities including structural and bedrock mapping, property evaluation and technical report writing. Steve’s experience includes property evaluations and due diligence, deposit specific structure studies, regional grassroots geochemical sampling programs, and advanced resource definition drilling projects. he is an expert in the study of Cordillera Copper Porphyry deposits with experience working from the Yukon to Peru and southern Chile. Steve is the primary author or co-author of numerous NI 43-101 reports and Competent Person reports, and has worked through the process of taking private companies public on the AIM, TSX-V and TSX.
